1 What's New In This Release?

  • Brand New Content Management System (CMS)
    We've completely overhauled our Website Management / CMS, adding dozens of enhancements and new features. Click here to learn more.

    Affects: All MemberClicks COMPLETE and Membership Module clients.

    Up until now...

    Our Website Management / CMS offering experienced many limitations that made managing a website a difficult task.

    What's new

    Here are just the highlights of what is available with the new CMS:
    • Create a dynamic, engaging front page with options to include different articles, polls, newsfeeds and other content.
    • Create pages with sections that display based on permissions, allowing for customized content delivery.
    • Unlimited Customizable Menus - create as many menus as your site needs that can be shown on specific pages or sections of your site.
    • Tag all of your images, documents and other media and organize them into folders.
    • Use our completely overhauled sponsor ad component to display and track any kind of sponsor ad on your site.
    • Add and manage RSS feeds that you can quickly and easily incorporate into your site.

    And that's just the start! The possibilities opened up by the new CMS are vast.

    Unlike the other features in this release, it will not be available automatically - MemberClicks must migrate your existing solution over to it. We are currently scheduling migrations, which will occur from now until November. In the meantime, sit tight and a MemberClicks representative will contact you to discuss when your migration will take place. When you are migrated, you will receive detailed documentation going over all the new features.

  • Parent / Child Relationships
    Create true parent / child relationship between groups, allowing for hierarchical organization structures. Click here to learn more.

    Affects: All MemberClicks COMPLETE and Membership Module clients.

    Up until now...

    Parent / child features were extremely limited and only applied on the individual profile level.

    What's new

    • Group Management section has been overhauled to allow for parent / child groups.

      What this means - You can quickly spot parent / child relationships due to the way groups are displayed in a hierarchical tree structure on the Group Management page. You can drag and drop groups to instantly create parent / child relationships between them.

    • Unlimited hierarchical levels are possible.

      What this means - You can have a child group that has children itself. For instance, if you had an organization with members organized by State and then by City within the state, the organization would be the parent group of the State groups, and the State groups would each be parents for their respective City groups.

    • Cascade attributes from parent to child groups.

      What this means - If child groups share common attributes with the parent group, you can pre-populate the child's value with the parent's when parents are adding new children via an application form. For instance, if your Company is the parent record and your Employees are the child records, the child records could automatically be pre-populated with common fields like company address, phone number, website, fax line, etc.

    • Limit the number of child profiles that can belong to a parent.

      What this means - You can restrict how many child profiles any one individual in a parent group can have.

    • Parents can apply, register, and renew children on forms.

      What this means - When filling out application, dues renewal or event registration forms, parents can enter their child information on the same form and the system will automatically recognize the parent / child relationship between the profiles / registrants. Your organization could save significant amounts of money by registering children with their parent members on the same form and paying only one transaction fee instead of several.

    • Linked parent / child relationships can be quickly accessed via the Relationships tab on user profiles.

      What this means - Parent profiles can modify all of their child profiles quickly by accessing their own user profile.

  • Committee Management
    Create committees for specific purposes and facilitate the sharing of information and ideas. Click here to learn more.

    Affects: All MemberClicks COMPLETE and Membership Module clients.

    Up until now...

    Creating special committees was impossible. None of these features existed.

    What's new

    • The new Committee Management section in your solution allows you to quickly create and manage committees.

      What this means - Your organization can form internal teams that can utilize our solution to facilitate the share of information and ideas.

    • Assign a type to your committee for easy organization.

      What this means - If you have many committees, this will make it easier to categorize and find the committee you are looking for.

    • Create as many positions as you need, order them hierarchically and assign them to specific members.

      What this means - Our solution will mirror the structure of your committee, whatever it may be.

    • Search for committees and positions on the Advanced Search page.

      What this means - You can quickly find anyone on a specified committee or anyone who holds or has held a specified position.

    • Committees have their own private area where they can compose and comment on messages and share files.

      What this means - Committee members can quickly and privately exchange information and files without having to share them with others or use an external solution.

    • Email notifications can alert committee members whenever new messages, comments, or files are posted.

      What this means - Committee members don't have to worry about logging in to check and see what's new - they can be automatically notified at any email address whenever a new file, comment or message is added.

  • New Form Editor & User Interface
    Now building and editing forms is easier and more intuitive than ever before. Click here to learn more.

    Up until now...

    The form editor was difficult to use for creating and editing forms. Form properties were scattered over many pages.

    What's new

    Our new form editor allows you to drag and drop fields onto your form. All related form sections are easily accessible from the form editor.

    What this means

    You can perform edits that used to take minutes in seconds. All field and form properties are easily accessible within a few clicks.

  • New HTML Editor
    Our new editor gives you more control, greater flexibility, and intuitive ease-of-use when designing your pages and other HTML content. Click here to learn more.

    Up until now...

    The HTML editor located in many areas of our product would mangle existing code. It was difficult to edit text and perform other simple changes.

    What's new

    Our new HTML editor is much more intuitive in how it handles. Simple edits won't cause you any more headaches. The editor no longer relies on a Java applet, so there's no more software to download.

    What this means

    You can feel free to go in and edit your pages, HTML emails, and other HTML content without worrying about whether or not it will inadvertently destroy your design in the process.

  • E-List Management
    Integrated E-List Management enables you to easily and quickly create, edit and manage as many E-Lists as you want! Click here to learn more.
    This feature was requested on our Ideas site. You asked for them, we built them!

    Affects: All MemberClicks COMPLETE and Membership Module clients.

    Up until now...

    MemberClicks had to manually configure each E-List for your organization. Management of existing E-Lists was cumbersome and sometimes impossible.

    What's new

    • E-Lists can be created and configured entirely* through your solution.

      What this means - If you decide to make changes to your list's settings, you don't have to wait for MemberClicks to implement those changes, saving you time and hassle.

    • Administrators can easily and quickly subscribe or remove users to E-Lists.

      What this means - You can add or remove users entirely through the web interface by clicking a few links.

    • Administrators can assign moderators to approve posts before they go out to the list.

      What this means - You can ensure that all posts are appropriate and on target by having someone read them before they go out to the list.

    • Administrators can configure pre-subject indicators that prefix each message subject.

      What this means - You can make the subject line of each message on your list easily identifiable, so that users can quickly sort those emails in their inboxes.

    • Welcome and goodbye emails can be designed with or without HTML.

      What this means - You can personalize the user experience by creating welcome and goodbye emails tailored to each user and branded for your organization.

    • Users can be subscribed by groups, attributes or a combination of both.

      What this means - It's easy to add exactly the users that you want from your database.

    • All users can quickly access the messages and options for the E-Lists to which they are subscribed through their user profiles.

      What this means - Users could read and respond to messages on the list entirely through the web interface if they chose to do so, without having to have the messages delivered to their email accounts.

    All currently existing E-Lists will be migrated over to the new system, so that you can gain the benefits of it with your current lists! If you are currently using E-Lists, a MemberClicks representative will contact you in the coming weeks to discuss migrating your existing lists.

    * - NOTE: If you are using a custom domain name with your solution, contact the MemberClicks Help Team to use that domain name with your E-Lists.
