Since the 2010 Technology Conference and Expo is next week, I wanted to introduce everyone to the MemberClicks team members who will be in Washington DC. Last week, I introduced you to Solution Adviser Hannae Berhanu. This week? Customer Maximization Lead Duncan McCreery.

Duncan has worked at MemberClicks for two years now, and just recently moved into the Maximization Team Leader position. Prior to that, he was a solution adviser, and helped implement more than 50 small-staff associations during his time in that role.

Last fall, we developed the Customer Maximization Program to ensure that we always stay engaged with our customers and be certain our solution meets their ever-changing technology needs. As Customer Maximization Lead, Duncan trains our organizations’ administrators each month to help them put their data to better use and get the most from their MemberClicks solution. He focuses on enhancing our customers’ knowledge and use of the MemberClicks solution through trainings, consultations and optimizations.

Because we serve so many different organizations and their purposes and missions run the gamut, Duncan enjoys the change that comes with his role each day. Prior to joining MemberClicks, Duncan was an English teacher in Russia, which is a huge asset as he assists and trains customers. And his interest in the ever-expanding world of technology doesn’t hurt, either!

When he’s not helping our customers offer amazing membership experiences, the Cleveland native (and huge Browns fan) likes to read fiction and newspapers, and also brush up on his Russian. He’s looking forward to meeting with as many small-staff association staffers as possible, and is always ready to chat about technology solutions, whether MemberClicks is the right fit for you or not.

For more information, feel free to e-mail Duncan at duncan@memberclicks.com, or reach out to him on his LinkedIn page. And please stop by booth 326 next week at the Technology Conference and Expo!

Since the 2010 Technology Conference and Expo is rapidly approaching, I wanted to introduce everyone to the MemberClicks team members who will be in Washington DC. I’ll be profiling one Clicker this week and one next week. First up? Solution Adviser Hannae Berhanu. (Pronounce her first name like you would the capital of Hawaii: Honolulu.)

Hannae has worked at MemberClicks for almost three years, and she’s been a part of implementing solutions for more than 300 small-staff associations during that time! Not only is she a fantastic problem solver, Hannae always has a positive outlook and her amazing attitude is infectious in the office.

These skills are a great asset as she helps organizations find the most appropriate technology solution, whether it’s MemberClicks or not. She’s always able to maintain a good perspective when working with potential customers and has a knack for listening to and understanding their needs.

Hannae is looking forward to meeting as many small-staff association professionals as possible in Washington DC and she’s psyched to learn more about their technology issues and needs. Whether MemberClicks is the right fit for you or not, she’s happy to discuss your technology needs and point you in the right direction.

When she’s not advising associations on membership- and data-management technology, the Georgia State University graduate likes to watch independent and foreign films, as well as makeover shows. Hannae also loves spending time with her family and trying new restaurants in the Atlanta area.

For more information, feel free to e-mail Hannae at hannae@memberclicks.com, or follow her on Twitter at @hannaeb. And don’t forget to stop by and say hi at Booth 326 in a few weeks!

Employee Spotlight: Brandon Wycherley

There are just a few people who can say they’ve been with MemberClicks since the beginning, and Brandon Wycherley, our director of operations, is one of them! He’s been working here since 2000, and his meticulous personality helps him keep track of everything going on in the office.

Because he’s been with the company for so long, Brandon says it’s difficult for him to pin down just one favorite thing. “First and foremost,” though, “it’s always a fun place to work.” His own sense of humor contributes to our fun office culture, and he recently dressed up as a surgeon for Halloween.

The Georgia Southern graduate is most proud of MemberClicks’ steady and constant growth, even during the most recent economic conditions. Originally from Annapolis, Md., Brandon’s favorite movie is “Airplane!” and when he’s not at work, Brandon enjoys traveling, watching television and dining out in Atlanta.

Brandon has been extremely busy lately, as he’s in charge of our upcoming office move, and we’re lucky to have someone with his organizational capabilities with us.

And congrats to the winners of last week’s contest! Shelly Alcorn, Dena Botbyl and Maggie McGary each won a free copy of Seth Godin’s “Tribes.” Please e-mail your address to socialmedia@memberclicks.com and the book will be on its way!

Employee Spotlight: Aaron Gunn

Our customers interact with a lot of MemberClicks team members — a solution adviser, implementation manager, implementation specialist and Web designer — but there are many more people behind the scenes driving the product and developing new solutions.

Aaron Gunn, our director of product development, has been with MemberClicks for more than six years. When he started here as the Application Development Lead, his role included software design and development for one of our older products.

Currently, Aaron is responsible for managing the development of all MemberClicks products, as well as the infrastructure that runs the products. He might not interact with customers as often as other MemberClicks team members, but Aaron’s one of the key players behind the scenes of our membership management software and solutions!

Aaron says his favorite part about working for MemberClicks is the office culture. “We’ve put together a fantastic staff that really cares about delivering a great customer experience while having fun doing it. Our environment is relaxed and enjoyable without being slack. Additionally, I get to work with a lot of cool software technologies and occasionally get to tinker around with some hardware.”

The Georgia Tech graduate is a “rampant optimist” and is always cracking jokes in meetings to keep the mood light — “even if they’re not very funny,” he added. As a software developer, he’s good at seeing solutions to problems that aren’t always apparent — which he partly attributes to “being his father’s son.”

Aaron is father to two little girls and enjoys spending time with his family when he’s not coming up with ways to make the MemberClicks solution even better. He’s also a huge Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football fan and an avid hiker. The Monticello, Ga. native is just a few hikes away from reaching the tops of all the mountains in Georgia that are over 4,000 feet, which has been “significantly more difficult than I imagined.”

(Don’t forget about our contest — you could win a free copy of Seth Godin’s “Tribes.” See this post for more details.)

Employee Spotlight: Kevin Patrick

kpNot many people have seen the evolution of MemberClicks like Kevin Patrick has. Our current director of product experience, Kevin has been a MemberClicks team member since 2003!

Serving in a variety of roles over the years, including creation specialist, support coach, business development and director of implementation, Kevin has seen MemberClicks transfer its support team from Alabama to Atlanta, been to numerous trade shows and designed our entire implementation department. Over the years, he’s truly come to understand the needs of small-staff associations, and in his current role, he’s able to take their needs and translate them into our solution.

During his time at MemberClicks, Kevin has been fortunate enough to work with customers through the entire lifecycle of an association management tool. “I’ve brought new clients to our solutions, customized their solutions to ensure the best results and ROI for the client, and supported them through the life of their solution,” Kevin said. “I’ve also seen some of them leave and have learned a great deal about the needs that matter most to organizations.”

Kevin is known throughout MemberClicks for his unique and varied hobbies. In addition to being involved in all things technology, computers, Internet, design and DIY, he enjoys Solo2 Autocrossing with the SCCA, four-way formation skydiving with Georgia Tech Fusion and Southern Draw, SCUBA diving and motorcycles. The Milwaukee native, who has lived in Atlanta for more than 20 years, says he likes activities that “take [him] to the edge of [his] comfort zone.” And of course, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, friends and dogs, as well as taking trips to the beach whenever possible.

You can find Kevin on Twitter at @kevinpatrick.
