It’s the first full week of Small Staff Appreciation Month, and things got off to a fun start on Friday!

Jim Thompson of the Association Executives of North Carolina was the first winner of the Small Staff Care Package. Every Friday during October, we’re giving away one set of $25 gift cards each to Starbucks, Visa, Amazon and Office Depot. To enter the giveaway, fill out the form here.

Additionally, Peggy Hoffman of Mariner Management shared a great post the Idea Center. She writes,

Admittedly it’s easier for small organization these days. Technology – at all price points – is readily available. Technology puts power in the hands of small organizations. Unfortunately, too many don’t know what to do with the power, but I am confident that will change.

In just a few sentences, Peggy accurately summarized why we at MemberClicks are so excited about Small Staff Appreciation Month. Of course, as a software company, we know that technology is extremely helpful, and that it can help make the lives of small staff organizations easier. But too often, technology can be confusing, overwhelming or downright frustrating, especially for volunteers at organizations who are just pitching in occasionally to help out.

We want to use this month to show the association industry just how important this group is, and to allow them to have the spotlight.

How does your small staff organization train volunteers and staffers so they can use technology more efficiently?
